Our Piece of Paradise Valley
Here are two "bird's eye views" of our piece of Paradise Valley, looking eastward. Livingston is about 60 miles to the left (north). Gardiner and the entrance to Yellowstone Park are 17 miles to the right (south).
The Yellowstone River is the eastern boundary of our property. It flows from right to left, running northward out of the Park. Its banks can be seen just behind our buildings.
Rising in the background are the foothills of Emigrant Peak (elevation 10,960 feet), the most prominent landmark in Paradise Valley. When gold was discovered in Emigrant Gulch in 1862, trappers and prospectors enjoyed the area's natural hot springs. Today vacationers and residents are still drawn to them.
